Our Stories
Here are some of our stories, we hope that they help you understand what God has done and what He is doing today. We are excited about our church and we want to share that excitement with you.
When I came to this church, I was going through a transitional time in my life. I was a single mother with 3 small children, and needed a church where I would feel love and acceptance. I found that here. I re-married about a year later, and my husband also became a part of this church. My time here has been the best years of my life. One of the most influential part of my attendance here has been my Sunday School class. I not only have grown spiritually, thanks to a dedicated teacher, but I have enjoyed a close bond with other members of the class. They, and the entire membership of this church, have supported me through joyous times, as well as during the dark times in my life. I love this church and feel honored that the Lord has given me ways to serve Him here.

My birth family and relatives were never a real close family and I felt like I was missing something in my life.I joined the First Baptist Church, let Christ take back over and with the loving fellowship of this church, I have that feeling back.'

I was not born and raised in this Church; I am a relatively new member. I don't look like anyone else and I don't dress like anyone else, but that's ok. FBC is not about what you look like or what you own, it's about the people. I wasn't aware of the relationships I was missing until I made friends here. These friendships are more precious than gold, I can always count of the people here. This Church offers more than acceptance, it offers love, there is nothing greater than this.

“Rejoice with those who rejoice; and weep with those who weep” (Romans 12:15) At First Baptist Eufaula, we have found a group of people who’s lives beautifully reflect this passage. We find ourselves in the midst of those who fiercely love, and who compassionately comfort. It’s a bond that has been formed over time and through unwavering trust. Together, we have faced the deepest sorrows and have celebrated the richest blessings. We have learned that “as one” we are stronger, more committed, and better able to serve. We are inspired by the examples we see in those around us who desire to be more Christ-like in all that they do.

Iwas just a small boy when this church was built at this location. Growing up, I didn't attend any church, but whenever I thought about "religion", this church came to mind. Little did I know, that one day I would accept Christ and become a member here. As a member of this church I have had the privilege to serve here. I have had the freedom to find my purpose, to seek God, search out His will for my life, and JUST DO IT!
-'The friendly, christian fellowship and loving support from our First Baptist Church family and Sunday School Class has encouraged us in our faith and our love for God through the years. We truly feel blessed.' - We were invited to the church a few years ago. Until that time we had always made the usual excuses about attending church. After just the first time we knew that we had found our church home. We have been blessed with a wonderful church family and have made lifelong friendships. You can say that you believe in God your whole life, but can never have a relationship with him until you begin to study his word. We are so thankful to be in a Sunday school class that encourages you to participate. God has touched our lives in so many ways. Thank you First Baptist Church.

'FBC Eufaula has provided a wonderful place for our children to grow and learn about God. They are both strong in their Christian faith due to the excellent Sunday School teachers that have provided them with guidance and knowledge from God's Word. We appreciate all the love and support that our family received during my dad's open heart surgery. All the prayers made his recovery much quicker and easier. This is a place we will always feel loved and always consider home.
